中国科学技术大学生命科学与医学部讲席教授、博士生导师，常务副书记、副部长；“长江学者奖励计划” 特岗教授；中国免疫学会常务理事，中国免疫学会肿瘤免疫与生物治疗专业委员会副主任委员，中国免疫学会生殖免疫专业委员会副主任委员，安徽省免疫学会理事长。主要从事天然免疫研究，为首承担国家重点研发计划重点专项项目1项（首席），国家自然科学基金重点项目5项，国家863课题2项，国家973课题2项，国家新药创制重大专项1项，中国科学院先导科技专项1项。已发表SCI收录论文226 篇，以通讯作者在Nature Immunology，Immunity，Cell Metabolism，Science Translational Medicine，Nat Commun，PNAS, Blood, Hepatology，Gastroenterology，Cancer Res, PLoS Pathog等重要学术刊物发表论文70余篇，2008年获国家自然科学二等奖1项，2007年和2010年获中华医学科技一等奖各1项，2016年获安徽省自然科学一等奖1项，2020年获全国抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进个人，2021年获国家卫健委“吴杨奖”，2021年获教育部“全国高校黄大年式教师团队”负责人。
